Add Your Review! Rodeo LS 5-speed
| | Model | Rodeo LS 5-speed | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | Extreme use of oil(apparently a conscious descision by Isuzu to imrove gas consumption...they should have told us, though....)
Very loud wind noise when driving with either | | | | |
| | | General comments? | PLease note that the purchase price is in Canadian Funds. This truck is leased only.
I was pretty happy with the vehicle for
the first year. I don't put a lot of mileage on per year, though. At about 22,000 KM, the engine blew. I was told I had run out of oil at some point(not), but they couldn't prove it. Also, it was a demo, so after MUCH discussion and stalling for time, they did agree to cover the new engine under the warranty. I am very grateful that I was supplied with a temporary vehicle, as the repairs took TWO AND A HALF MONTHS to complete!!!
The parts had to be ordered from Japan,
and I was told again and again that the job completion would be "the end of the week", which was obviously VERY frustrating, as time wore on. It's hard to say for sure if this was the dealer's fault or the parts supplier in Japan.
Apart from this major repair, I can honestly say that the Rodeo has cost me nothing besides oil changes, etc.
Final outcome? The lease is up in 7 months, and yes, I'm glad it's a lease. I would not lease or buy another one(my dealer tells me that GM is severing all ties with Isuzu after this year, mainly because of the oil consumption | | | Previous car | test-drove the Jeep Cherokee Sport and the
GMC Jimmy, neither of which were as comfortable! |
