What things have gone wrong with the car?The only weakness is talking to the moronic people who think because the Rodeo drives like a truck (WHICH IT
IS), its not modern, and out of style.

General comments?SORRY PEOPLE MY COMPUTER MESSED UP AND PUT IN ALL THOSE WEIRD LETTER COMBINATIONS ON THE MESSEGE BELOW. HERE'S THE EDITED VERSION HERE:
?
An excellent choice in SUVs. As I posted eariler, I have not had any problems with this truck. My sister an I both have
identical cars... 2wd LSEs. With over 80,000 miles on mine, the only few problems I have encountered are oil
consumption and the stock suspension. Oil consumption isn't much of a problem, and its basically good because you have to keep adding new, clean, fresh oil, keeping
your engine nicely lubricated. I put a new suspension and shock kit on it for $600 and its like comparing day to nite. As of this point in time, this would have to be one of the best purchases I have ever made. Now, so emphasize I am not the only one who loves this truck, I'll fill you in on our other Rodeo with over 100,000 miles on it. We bought them both in Sept. of 1999, a Black LSE and a Silver LSE. My sister has 102,000 miles to be exact, and like me, hers eats oil, but not too badly. Like I say, oil consumption is not a big issue. She's now off at college so Im sorry I cant get into
further detail with her truck. Mine uses about a quart ever 1,000 miles. Gas mileage hovers around 12- 15 mpg in
city use, and manages 19-21 on the freeway, which is NOT bad for V6 SUV. If you use the Sport Mode (power drive) which allows the engine to supply you with more power without having to place your foot harder on the gas, you will use more gas, closer to the 12mpg that I have
experienced several times. The truck has never died on me, and never had any problems with it except for the recall
notice for the front sun visors... which isnt a big deal. With the 3.2 Liter V6, this SUV hustles when you want to get
moving. I know several people with this same truck, and none of them have had any problems that needed a mechanic... just little ones like a squeak and a rattle hear and there but with a few tightenings with a screw driver they are fixed. Lets face it, for $19,000 (the Rodeo's base
price) there are just about no other midsize SUVs on the market. The LS and the LSE are probably the better buys.
starting at $22,000) Between the styling, performance, and overall reliability that I have experienced, I will encourage anybody looking for a
