| | Model | Isuzu Rodeo | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | The engine light came on for no apparent reason. Mechanics kept suggesting it was certain sensors that needed to be replaced, but after replacing all kinds of sensors, my check engine light is still on.
ABS light comes on every now and then, replacing the sensor didn't help. I choose just to let it be. The light has now gone off, for about a couple of months.
The timing belt broke around 75k, nearly ruined the whole engine. Spent about $2500 to fix my engine.
Now, my car stalls every now and then, especially when shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear. Do you think the mechanics know why? Nope.
I've also had my cataylic converter replaced 3 times.
Isuzu dealership did a tune-up on my car and found that replacing the spark plugs caused my car to bog down, or lose power when starting. They in the end, replaced the spark plugs with the ones I had in before. And, they couldn't tell me why my car performed that way.
My car vibrates under windy weather, it's so loud and annoying.
At 120k miles, the rear window rattles, the compartments make noise, the backlight on my stereo went out at about 30k miles, noise comes from the tailgate. | | | | |
| | | General comments? | I have had so many problems with my SUV. I don't know where to begin. I do a lot of driving and this car has given me more trouble than it's worth. Most of my problems began when the mileage warranty ran out. I take very good car of my car get the oil changed on time, etc. I've always been told that my oil was low. | | | Previous car | 1996 Honda Passport |
