| | | General comments? | All in all I think this is an okay SUV. I've had this car since it was brand new, have put 85,000 miles on it already and only just started to have problems with it. I am experiencing similar transmission problems as do some other Rodeo owners. The first problem I had was with the gears "slipping" when switching from 1st to 2nd gear. That was fixed by adjusting the linkage beneath the car. I paid $75 for a person to change the oil, tune up, and adjust the linkage and the car ran good as new. Only thing now is that tranny switch is acting up, the light stays in neutral when I put it in drive on the first attempt but goes into drive on the 2nd attempt. I'm hoping that minor adjustments will need to be made to repair that problem and I can get away with paying less than $100 again :) I do recommend this SUV to people who know how to maintain their cars. One more thing, my car had 2 recalls on it, ABS and something with frontal head impact. If any owners out there have problems with this, just give your VIN to the dealership and have them look it up, they replace it for free. | | | Previous car | Mercedes ML320 1999 |
