| | Model | Isuzu Rodeo | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | -RELIABILITY
-Quality of interior materials
-Rear window washer. An earlier review likened it to someone peeing down your back window. That guy nailed it completely!
-Dealer support
-Warrenty Terms. In my opinion, free rental cars are a must for any vehicle during the warranty period.
-Gas Mileage: 270-300 miles per tank depending on city or highway driving (Yes, I realize this is an SUV-ism) | | | | |
| | | General comments? | I purchased my Rodeo new in 1998 and currently have 122,500 miles on it. While it is generally very capable on-road and off, I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER ISUZU and caution others to consider the adage "You get what you pay for." I chose the Rodeo over the Toyota 4-Runner (and other SUVs) because of the $8000 smaller pricetag, appearance, greater horsepower and torque, and its combination of features...and because the Toyota dealer wouldn't or couldn't get me the options I wanted. I figured the $8K savings would pay for a lot of repairs. Well, I was right. Repairs have been the name of the game with my Rodeo.
To date, I've had to repair or replace the following (some on warranty, most not):
-Air conditioning compressor and related componentry - 3 times
-Horn | | | Previous car | None |
