| | Model | Isuzu Rodeo | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | Rough ride to heavy truck like, it is similar to driving a U-Haul truck.
Gas consumption is not a joke. Very thirsty.
Burns a great deal of oil, need to change every 2,000 miles or 2 months instead of every 3,000 miles or 3 months.
Radio system is no good.
Loud clunky noise is becoming a headache.
Motor for rear window wiper is burned out (was not operating when purchased, cost to much to have replaced).
Can only purchased parts from dealer, not available at major auto parts stores. | | | General comments? | I have been reading the other reviews from Isuzu Rodeo owners. It seems as though we all are experiencing the same problems. I purchased my vehicle used in Sept. 2001. It had 24,000 miles when purchased. I have had to take the vehicle to the dealership several times for the "Check Engine" light keeps coming on and staying on. The truck now has a little over 74,000 miles. It shakes like it is going through withdrawals. It has poor gas mileage, the oil has to be changed on a regular basis. I have had to have the brakes replaced. When going over potholes here in Chicago one has to brace themself. The truck has to sit and warm up for about 10-15 minutes in temperatures over 50 degrees, if not it shakes really bad and shuts down. I see where it has a built-in alarm system which I do not have a remote for. The stereo system is terrible. I am experiencing the rattling and loud sounds as if there is something falling apart from the area around the front tire on the driver side. Someone stole my driver side mirror while parked on the street overnight. I am having the hardest time trying to find a mirror, can anyone help point me in the direction where I can purchase one. I contact one dealer and was told that the whole mirror unit has to be replaced and it cost $151 w | | | Previous car | Nissan Pathfinder |
